Six questions that make supplier discussions useful

Which exact version is being quoted?

Record the complete model and any suffix, front and reverse photographs, dimensions and material requirements. A similar name or shape can hide a different head, handle or component.

What must the sample establish?

For a brush, specify head width, pin or tuft arrangement, contact feel and handle finish. For a colouring board, review the outline, working surface, grip and agreed use. Set measurement points and acceptance criteria with the supplier.

What changes with the logo or colour?

Ask which changes affect existing tooling, materials, artwork, sampling and order quantity. Review feasibility, cost and timing for the selected project before approving a retail claim.

Which quantity does each price cover?

Separate pieces, retail packs, inner packs and export cartons. Keep the order minimum distinct from the catalogue carton quantity; compare quotations on the same sales unit.

What will the inspection cover?

Agree appearance, key dimensions, components, labels, packing and any required checks. Specify the selected model and intended market when discussing testing; a factory assessment alone does not establish that every product has passed a particular test.

What must stay consistent on the next order?

Retain the approved sample, photographs, artwork revision, packing quantities and carton markings. Review proposed material or design changes before replenishment.

A concrete version check: WB557

Tianba’s 2026 catalogue lists WB557 at 212 × 39mm, with 120 brushes per export carton and a 54 × 43 × 41.5cm carton.
